Hi,
In Cable specification, there is two fields UpstreamChassis and DownstreamChassis. What's the definition for "upstream" and "downstream"? Not all cases have a direction.
Thanks,

We tried to pick terms that were fairly generic to describe a direction - but I agree we should add some more text to describe what is meant by "upstream" and "downstream". Most data-carrying cables are bi-directional, but their connections are typically moving "up" towards a source or higher-level function, and "down" to a sink or a final destination or lower-level function.
In the case of a true peer-to-peer cable connection (such as Ethernet switch interconnections), that distinction doesn't apply, and so the choices are arbitrary. And we should describe that case in the description as well.
