If I have this right, the way to include other profiles and build upon them is through the Required Profiles section of the JSON file. You specify a Repository, and it should be included in the test results along with the profiles(s) built on top of it. I can't seem to make that work with an https:// location. Is it http:// only, as may be implied in Section 8.2.1 of the documentation? The OCP interop profiles do not include this Repository line, but one assumes the Server Hardware profile is supposed to be based on the Baseline Hardware profile. Does that imply these JSON files are intended to be colocated? And if so, they still apparently must be independently referred to on the validator command line for both to be interpreted in the same test, as may be implied in the example Validator code? What is the proper way to do this?

Would you please open an issue in GitHub under the Redfish Interop Validator as I'm guessing the tool doesn't provide HTTPS support, and it certainly should...
And I think you've found a hole in the specification and the Validator tool about what to do if there is no Repository specified - it's certainly reasonable to add a statement that "if not present, required profiles are assumed to be in the same working directory". And if it's not already in the tool, there should be an option to specify a "local repository" to make things easier.
I'll take a look at the specification document and see what we need to add, and I'll get that into the next release cycle. Thanks for pointing that out!

jautor Following up on thread, do you know if this "relative path" functionality for Repositories will be added in a future release? If so, which release?

I don't see an issue on GitHub for it. Please open one so that it's on the developer's to-do list. And yes, that should be something that could be added soon - and pull requests with enhancements are always welcome on the DMTF tools.

I opened DMTF/Redfish-Interop-Validator#142 for tracking.

I'm new to this tool; could you please walk me through the process of running it from the ground up? I also referred to github, but I couldn't understand it, so please assist me.
