The DMTF Redfish Forum has released the following materials as "Work in progress" to coincide with the OCP Virtual Summit. We encourage you to download and review these materials, and ask questions or provide feedback in the Work in progress sub-board. The new documents include:
- Redfish Resource and Schema Guide 2020.2a - This work-in-progress release of the Guide reflects content from the upcoming Redfish Schema bundle DSP8010 release 2020.2, which was approved by the Redfish Forum and is currently in the DMTF release process.
- Syslog Configuration proposal - Proposal for configuring and managing syslog and rsyslog support for a Redfish service.
- Diagnostic Data Logging proposal - Proposal for generating and reporting "diagnostic data" (such as 'crash dumps', debug logs, or other binary data) using the Redfish LogService and LogEntry resources.
- Power and Thermal enhancement proposal - Informational Specification work-in-progress bundle proposing enhancements for the monitoring and control of power and thermal subsystems using the Redfish "Sensor" model. Bundle includes a presentation, a guide to the proposed schemas, and a mockup of the new resources.
- Resource Capabilities Document proposal - Proposal for a JSON document that can describe the implementation details for a particular resource, allowing more intelligent client code without increasing the complexity of the service.
- Serial Console discovery enhancement proposal - Proposal for improving the properties describing a systems' serial console support, to allow for better automation and script interoperability.
