If a Redfish service running on a BMC implements the HostInterface schema, is the intended consumer of this supposed to the Redfish client code in firmware/OS running on the the host CPU alone? Or would this also apply to, say, a Redfish client running on another BMC that is performing Redfish aggregation (please see redfishforum.com/thread/457/redfish-aggregation-bmcs for relevance). For example, the HostInterface schema mentions a 'AuthNone' authentication mode. Is that mode restricted to Host CPU-BMC interaction, or can it apply to BMC-BMC as well? Thanks, Deepak

With our current definition of a "host interface" (an interface that can be used by software running on a computer system to access the Redfish service that is used to manage that computer system), I would not expect the HostInterface resource to be used for BMC to BMC connectivity or for aggregation scenarios. This is really more for users who perform local management of a system, historically IPMI over KCS, and need a path to their BMC via Redfish.
